Been here for almost a month. Great to stay. The mix of long term guests and short term stays keeps the energy in the place fun and active; while also lots of time for rest. Owner does a great job of looking after the place and is quick to tend to the needs of the guests - whether with local recommendations, rides to the grocery store, or issues that pop up in the house. Was here for the confusion surrounding a bed bug scare. The timing was weird, but the next day a professional was in the house to inspect; there have been no problems. Looking forward to future stays.
absolutely loved my stay here, I’ve already returned and will do so again. In total I have spent over two months at this place. I met some of the best, most lovely people ever encountered while travelling. The host Simão takes great care in selecting the people who love in the house and is always available for help and advise. People are super friendly. Every time I was there, everyone kept the place clean and the garden beautiful. We cooked together, made pizza in the pizza oven, went to the beach etc. The best thing is that the amazing Ribeira surf spot is super close to walk. There is a bus stop next to the house for the lazy ones too or if you need a ride to town. I loved the nature around the house too the hills are great for a run or a hike in the shade. Plus the house has a gym and last time, another guest even offered yoga classes there. Totally recommend!
I’ve been staying here long term for a few months now. This place is special just like the people in the house and of course Coyote (the dog). It’s a guesthouse so don’t expect 5star hotel service yet the house is super organized and well maintained. We share common areas, laughter and great moments! If I could put more stars I would!
Beautiful location in the middle of nature with peaceful garden, magnificent view into the wild and just few steps away from the beach! Staying here for a few months and experiencing a lovely and open take care from the host, comfortable and clean rooms and warm environment. Highly recommended
